Magnetic Island is covered, with one practical difference from everywhere else on the list: the ferry. That makes it a booked job rather than a drop-everything callout, and it's worth understanding why before you ring.
The ferry changes the planning
Getting to the island means a scheduled crossing in each direction, so a job over there occupies a defined block of the day and can't be squeezed between two mainland callouts. In practice that means booking ahead and picking a time that lines up with a sailing.
It also means the return trip is fixed. If something turns out to be more involved than expected, I can't simply stay another hour — so the more detail you can give me on the phone, the better the chance it's finished in the one visit.
Holiday lets and rentals
A lot of the island's housing turns over constantly — short stays, holiday lets, seasonal tenants. That's a lot of keys in circulation and very little visibility over where they've all ended up.
Rekeying between tenancies, keyed-alike setups so one key runs a whole property, and lock changes after a lost set are all worth batching into a single visit if you manage more than one place over there.

Can you come across at short notice?
Rarely — the crossing has to be timed. Call as early as you can and I'll find the nearest sailing that works.
Is it more expensive than a mainland job?
The ferry is part of the cost and it's included in the quote you get before I commit to the trip. You'll know the total up front.
Do you do locked-out-of-the-house jobs on the island?
Yes, along with car keys, rekeys and hardware. Same services, just scheduled around the boat.
